Self-hosted (Community)

Free software, you pay for the server

n8n is open-source and free to run on your own server. Your only cost is the hosting (a small VPS runs it for a low monthly amount) and the time to set it up and maintain it. Executions are effectively unlimited, no per-task fee.

Paid, priced by executions

The hosted version, so you skip running a server. It is priced by monthly executions and features across tiers. Convenient, but the per-execution model means cost rises with volume, the opposite of self-hosting.
